Communicable and Infectious Disease Control
Children showing any signs or symtoms of a contagious or infectious disease are required by law (79-4, 134) to be sent to their homes immediately or as soon as safe and proper conveyance can be found. Children are excluded from school until the minimum isolation period has elapsed, and all signs and symptoms of illness have disappeared.
The following information is given to assist parents when dealing wiht common contagious or infectious diseases as it relates to periods of exclusion. These are guidelines developed by the State Department of Health.
