Kids Connection

KidsConnection: KidsConnection

Health Care Coverage for Nebraska Children

Kids Connection is the state children's health insurance program or SCHIP developed as an extension of Medicaid in Nebraska.  The purpose of Kids Connection is to provide health care to low-income uninsured children all across the state. Your child's eligibility to have health care coverage through Kids Connection is based primarily on your family's income.   Children may be eligible:

q       If they are under age 19

q       If they live in Nebraska

q       Even if both parents live at home

q       Even if one or both parents work full time

q       Even if their family already has some type of health insurance

For more information or an application for Kids Connection, you may contact your child's school or call 1-877-NEB-KIDS (1-877-632-5437) or (402) 471-8845 for assistance or you're nearest Health and Human Services office.
